Microsoft Word - More files on your recently used list
by Answers 2000 Limited
Microsoft Word keeps track of the files you have recently accessed.
You can quickly open any of the recently used files from a list on the File
menu. You should get in the habit of using this time-saving option if you
frequently switch between documents.
Unfortunately by default, this option is not as useful as it could be
- only the 4 most recent items are listed. However this can easily b
e changed:
- Click Options on the Tools menu.
- Go to the General tab.
- Near the bottom of the dialog you will see an item called Recently used file list
- You can adjust the number of entries by altering the number to the right.
- You can turn the "most recently used files" feature off completely,
by clicking on the checkbox to the left (if no X is shown in the checkbox,
the feature is turned off). Clicking again, turns the feature back on.
- Press OK.
- That's it!
