Timestamp Notepad files automatically

by Answers 2000 Limited

Try this:
  1. Start Notepad.
  2. Type .LOG (a period followed by LOG in capitals) and save the file.
  3. Close Notepad.
  4. From now on, every time you open that file, Notepad wil automatically add the current date and time to the bottom of the file. This is useful if you want to keep a running log of you activities or a quick-and-dirty time management tool.
You can also manually insert the current date and time into any Notepad file by pressing the F5 key.
