If you want to put a long path to a file name or folder on the MS-DOS command line you can drag the file to an MS-DOS window and the path appears on the command line.
Make sure a Windows Explorer (or Desktop) is visible as well as the MS-DOS command prompt window.
Click on the icon for the file or folder in Windows Explorer to select it.
Press down the left mouse button on the selected file or folder, and drag the mouse over the MS-DOS. Release the mouse button when the mouse is over the MS-DOS window.
The file name or folder path appears on the MS-DOS command prompt.
