Stvarnu vrednost njenih romana predstavlja detaljno i autenticno docaravanje zivota i vrednosti gradjanske klase u medjuratnoj Jugoslaviji, koje Milici Jakovljevic donosi naziv Dzejn Ostin srpske knjizevnosti. Milica Jakovljevic, sestra Stevana Jakovljevica (pisca dela Srpska trilogija) govorila je ruski i francuski jezik, i iako je pisala o ljubavi i braku, nikad se nije udavala.
